Where can I get a Tax Credit Award Notice?

And what is it, anyway?

Where can I get a Tax Credit Award Notice?
Tax Credits in the UK are administered by The Inland Revenue and paid via ones employer.

Entitlement depends on personal circumstances and the number of dependents in ones household. One can claim Tax Credits on the appropriate claim form available from The Inland Revenue, Jobcentres and ones local Citizens Advice. Citizens Advice can assist one further in whether one is entitled or not.
Reply:If I'm understanding you properly...the Tax Credit your are referring to if typically for business development. For example, a city or state may desire to provide more housing for low-income residents.

A private developer may not expect a profit is possible by building housing units for sub-market rents. So, a government entity will award Tax Credits as an incentive. With this form of subsidy, the developer is not enticed to build the desired housing stock.

Once 10% of the project is underway, the government agency will award the developer the Tax Credit Award annually for say 10 years. Annual compliance is required and all this is regulated by IRS tax law (Section 42, I believe).

To get this time of housing Tax Credit, you must submit an application to the proper authority for consideration. The same agency is usually very helpful in assisting because they desire the housing options and seeing you are successful. Be warned, that we are talking a fairly large financial undertaking. Initially, it would take a few thousand dollars just to apply and perform a market study.

Hope this helps answer your question.
