Is there a limit to how many children you can claim on the child tax credit?

There is no limit on the number of Children claimed for the Child Tax Credit. there is however a limit of 2 Children for the Earned Income Credit

YES YES: YOU CAN NOT CLAIM MORE CHILDREN THAN YOU HAVE.

Reply:Hi, Lisa! The answer is a definite NO: no limits whatsoever on the number of qualifying children you can claim. The only limitations on the credit are that it can be no more than your tax due, and it starts to phase out when your income reaches a certain level depending on your filing status. You may also qualify for the Additional Child Tax Credit under certain circumstances.
